Kerstmis een week vroeger / Christmas a week early

Helaas moet ik met kerst werken, maar dit weekend heb ik vrij en daarom heb ik dit weekend bestempeld tot ons kerstweekend! We hebben een witte tuin; er ligt 23 cm sneeuw! Binnen is het warm en gezellig, we hebben lekker eten, tijd voor elkaar en de kerstboomlampjes branden. Vanavond eten we de allerlekkerste rode kool (van Nigella Lawson uit het boek Feest) met een NIEUW RECEPT; kip met 40 teentjes knoflook (alweer van Nigella, uit haar boek Keuken) en ovenaardappelen. Pudding toe. Nou, is dat geen kerst?!

Unfortunately I have to work at Christmas, but this weekend I have a free weekend and that's why I made this weekend our Christmas-weekend! We have a white garden; there are 23 cm (approximately 10 inches) of snow, which is a lot for Holland! In the house it's warm and cosy, we have good food, time for each other and the christmas-lights are burning. Tonight we are having the best red cabbage in the world (by Nigella Lawson from the book Feast) and a NEW RECIPE; chicken with 40 cloves of garlic (Nigella again, from the book Kitchen) and oven roast potatoes. Pudding for dessert. Well, that's christmas isn't it?!
