Vandaag ben ik 12,5 jaar in dienst van het ziekenhuis. Tijd om te trakteren op het werk dus! Ik had cranberry-chocolade muffins en kaneel-chocolade vierkantjes gemaakt. Blije gezichten toen ik het samen met mijn dochter kwam brengen. Ik had al een feestelijk gevoel van de bos bloemen die ik van een patiënt kreeg. Dat komt niet vaak voor! En als klapper had ik vandaag een publiek van 80 kleuters bij mijn zoon op school die ik iets over mijn werk mocht vertellen in het kader van het project "beroepen". De kinderen hadden ook vragen voorbereid, zoals: Pluk je ook bloemen voor op de kamers? En: Koop je speelgoed voor de baby's? Leuk om te doen en ondanks dat het kleuters waren ook wel spannend! Toen ik klaar was kreeg ik een doosje chocola en had ik voor alle kleuters een babyflesje gevuld met snoepjes. Dat viel wel in de smaak! Al met al een geslaagde vrije dag in het teken van mijn werk.

Today I am 12,5 years employed in the hospital. So it was time to treat my colleagues at work! I made cranberry-chocolat muffins and cinnamom-chocolat squares. Happy faces when me and my daughter brought them. I already had a festive mood from the flowers a patient gave me, that doesn't happen often! And on top of it all I had an audience of 80 4 and 5 year olds in my son's school, who I could tell something about my work. It was because of the project "jobs". The children prepared questions like: Do you pick flowers for the rooms? And: Do you buy toys for the babies? Fun to do and even though they were small children I was a little nervous. When I had finished I received a box of chocolats and I had a surprise for the kids: a babybottle filled with candy. They sure liked that! All in all a great day off which was all about my work.
