Vandaag mochten de kinderen in mijn zoon's klas verkleed naar school komen. Al een week geleden vroeg ik hem wat hij dan aan wilde. Hij was gelijk zeker van zijn zaak; hij wilde zijn blauwe prinsessenjurk aan naar school. Ik heb er absoluut geen problemen mee dat hij die draagt, maar ik wil ook niet dat hij gepest wordt op school. Om die reden probeerde ik hem nog op andere gedachten te brengen en zijn piratenpak aan te prijzen. Maar nee; het moest de prinsessenjurk worden. De juf werd ingeseind en gisteravond vond ik nog een leuk drakenpak wat ik vanmorgen als verrassing tevoorschijn toverde. Leuk, vond mijn zoon, maar dat zou hij nà school wel aantrekken...
Aangezien ik vandaag moest werken stond ik hem vanmorgen al om half zeven aan te kleden. Haren blauw en bloemen op zijn wangen geverfd en de blauwe jurk aan. Hij vond zichzelf zóóó mooi! Mijn moeder bracht hem naar school en waar ik bang voor was gebeurde; de andere kinderen lachten hem uit. En mijn zoon? Die trok zich er NIETS van aan!!! Wie is hier nou ècht stoer?

Today the kids in my sons class had to come to school dressed up. A week ago I asked him what he wanted to wear on that day. He was immediately sure about it; it had to be his blue princesses dress. I have no problems whatsoever about him wearing these, but I don't want the other kids to tease him with this. For that reason I tried to change his mind and put his pirates costume in the spotlights. But no, it had to be the blue princesses dress. I talked to the teacher about it. And yesterday I found a great dragon costume that I took out this morning to surprise him. Nice, was my sons comment, but he would wear it
after school...
Since I had to work today, I was already at 6.30 dressing him and painting his hair blue and painting flowers at his face. He found himself SO beautifull! My mom took him to school and what I had been afraid of happened; the other kids laughed at him. And my son? He couldn't care less!!! Who is the real tough one here?
